I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job this little steamer does for the price.I've used it to remove set-in wrinkles from new clothing and to freshen up items taken out of the closet.I also used it to remove dents in my carpet from furniture.Pretty good product.My only complaint is that it doesn't hold very much water, but I was still able to steam about 3 garments before re-filling.Would recommend it for small jobs.

Sunbeam Garment Steamer Review

If you don't have a dryer and a wet washcloth handy, you don't want to pull our the iron, and you've only got a few wrinkles to remove, this will do the job.
The first shirt I tried to steam was a button down cotton-poly blend. After hanging it from a metal hanger over a towel on a towel rack, I started steaming it carefully, pulling it taut as instructed, running the steamer over it slowly, and releasing steam in 2-second spurts.
It worked well enough; I might have gotten a better result by tossing it in the dryer (new shirt, never done much with it), or not. Traditional Ironing would have given me a crisper result. But if you can't iron and you don't have a dryer, this made it passable. Otherwise send for a valet or drycleaning, or learn how to iron.
The second shirt was a partially pre-crinkled shirt. I repeated the set up with a metal hanger and towel (so I didn't steam the wall, or in this case, the shower curtain). I pulled the fabric tight and started steaming. However, this stretched it out of shape; I had better success pulling it horizontally taut whilesteaming vertically.
It seemed not great on collars, over all, while the shirts were in a hanging position. If you need to work on a collar, you're better off doing it first (just as if you were ironing it) by balling a towel in its neck to help retain the shape before attacking the rest of the garment.
For denim pants, it worked well enough. Not quite well enough to completely remove the wrinkles from a day's wearining, but enough to freshen them a bit. I don't have any suits or jackets to test it on at this point, but I imagine it will do the job of getting travel wrinkles out of otherwise neat clothing.
If you're envisioning a quick solution to ironing problems, this isn't it. It's good for spot steaming and those times when you've no other alternatives.

I bought this mandoline because I had read good revues. This mandoline works well with zucchini and other soft vegis. I really wanted to use it to julienne carrots. For that this is a dangerous cheap kitchen tool. I am going to buy something more sturdy. I am sick of cutting up my fingers.

This is a great all-purpose pot to have for baking beans, obviously, but also for slow oven baked dishes like ragouts, choucroute garnis, cassoulets and is the classic vessel for nabes, those layered one-pot Japanese meals. It makes a great soup tureen as it holds heat very well and an wonderful off-beat use for it is as a leprechaun's pot to hold the peanut butter-filled butterscotch-coated Ritz cracker cookie "gold coins" that I make for St. Patrick's Day.

The tea pot is very pretty but the red finish was already coming off on the paper packaging.When the tea pot was washed even more red finish came off. The unstable red finish was very disappointing so I returned the teapot for a full refund.

I've read great reviews about this steamer and poor reviews.The poor reviews claim that the unit did not work.The great reveiws report claims of great steam fast, just like the Good HouseKeeping seal.I figured that if I bought the unit from Amazon, I could always return it if I was unsatisfied.I like to steam my clothes.I have a Jiffy portable unit for travel and home.I wanted to get a full size unit for home use.This unit is great.It heats up fast (less than a minute).Be sure to hold the trigger and wait.It is not a passive steamer.A pump activates to provide a nice flow of steam.This unit has a water filter.It slides into the drain plug on the bottom of the unit.In the package you will receive information about accessories.I called the support company, Top Innovations and ordered a few extra supplies.I ordered two extra water filters (for $2.99 each) and also a A-465-K1 Accessory Kit.This kit has an entirely separate hose and nossle with various attachments.This will allow me to steam clean counters, stove, tile.I want it to clean the interior floors of my vehicles after the winter.I hope this information helps.If you are considering a home unit with fast steam, a water filter and available accessories, then this may be the model for you.Michael from Johnstown, Pennsylvania
