Conair GS11RH Professional Upright Steamer Review

This is my second Conair Steamer. The first gave the family several years of good service before needing replacement. However, I highly recommend spending the few extra dollars to purchase this more upgraded and modern model. You need to know that it takes learning a new technique but I haven't used or owned a conventional iron and ironing board in years!

While a steam iron eliminates fabric wrinkles and creases with great efficacy, the impact of a hefty soleplate will not do for some delicate and vintage pieces. For such ironing conundrums, Conair offers this professional upright steamer. Much like the steamers employed at dress shops, the 1400-watt steamer gently smoothes wrinkles away without the stiffness often left from a conventional iron's soleplate.
The easily filled water tank heats to steaming temperature with speed. With a full tank, the appliance produces steam for 1-1/2 hours. The steamer conveys low water levels with an indicator light. The user applies pressure to the illuminated foot pedal to engage and control steam output. Steam travels through a double-insulated hose, which removes for stowing. If left idle for prolonged periods, the steamer turns off automatically for safety. A telescopic hanger extends to support garments while they are steamed. To transport the steamer, Conair equipped the unit with four wheels with rear-locking casters and a carrying handle. The power cord retracts to store internally. The steamer converts all water types, though use of tap water may result in mineral deposits and necessitate more frequent cleanings.
