Hamilton Beach 14977 Ham Beach Chr. Body Iron Stai Review

I recently was in the market for a new iron when my Rowenta died after 5 years of almost daily faithful service. I didn't want to fork out $80+ dollars for another iron, so- I did some research, and decided on this Hamilton Beach model as being an acceptable replacement. Ugh! I returned two of these to the store in less than a week. The first one had a very loose setting dial and made a weird rattling sound right out of the box - I didn't even bother to turn it on. I exchanged it for another one which I insisted on opening at the customer service desk to inspect before bringing it home. The dial was securely fitted and no rattles on the handle of this second one - so home again , home again to finally iron jiggedy - jig! THIS iron moaned and hissed profusely - scorched my cotton blend shirt on the poly setting, and dripped water everywhere on it's maiden voyage down my ironing board. Also, the burst of steam mode was weak and ineffective.Maybe I'm just spoiled after owning a Rowenta - but, I'm ready to go by another one tonite! Adios, Hamilton B !
